Here’s a tool to enhance success and competition
Amy Porter Teaches 3 students using My Breathing Buddy
I know that 100% of the people in this room are breathing. And about 50% of us I would imagine don't know quite how to draw a full breath to their advantage.
We want to change that.
Hello, I'm Amy Porter, Professor of flute at the University of Michigan and founder and CEO of Anatomy of Sound LLC and the Anatomy of Sound Workshop. We are a company that creates products and services to educate and inform about the origins of breathing and sound. We also want you to breathe better in order to live better to sleep better, think better, do everything better.
Breath is critical to performers and the stakes are high to win that part or that post. That's why teaching with physical touch has always been part of the training, not just in music lessons, but also in dance, drama, and sports medicine, and the list goes on.
Up until now, we music teachers have poked ourselves in the sternum to say 'Blow" and we've all heard yoga teachers reminding us to breathe into our bellies.
But words like "support" aren't enough. Words that don't match the true anatomy of the breath are vague and can do more harm than good. Teaching the breath when you have no medical background can be misleading and misguided.
Here's our solution.
My Breathing Buddy our hands-on solution for hands-off teaching.
It's a high level, medically designed , anatomically correct concept
